LEAGUE VISION & GOALS

The 1660 Hockey League is both a competitive and a recreational hockey league, which serves communities within approx. a 100 km radius from the center of Edmonton.

The vision of this league is to provide quality competition at all levels of hockey. At the start of the season all teams will play 4 teiring games to evaluate the tier best suited to their ability.   1660 will create a schedule matching equally tiered teams while keeping in mind travel considerations.

While competition is important, this league strives for fair play and proper sportsmanship.

Hockey should be a positive experience, both on and off the ice as a participant, a volunteer or a fan.

We will encourage all those involved in Hockey to show positive and appropriate leadership for these participants to develop good life skills, through a combination of exercise, team play and competition.

In order to achieve this, the executive of this league must work directly with it’s volunteer division Governors, who handle the majority of both stats and complaints or issues.

The goal of this web site is to aid our volunteers in providing the players, coaches, various Association directors and the parents with as much information on your league so that the various division Governors can go about the job of running each level to the highest level.

I hope that you use this site as often as you wish and that it helps you find whatever answers you may be looking for. This site will include League Game Schedules and Contact Lists and Standings for all to use. If you can’t find the answers on this web site, please feel free to contact any executive member or division Governors.

Have a Great Season!

Chris Jarbeau
1660 League President
