The team who is the highest in the regular season standings has venue, meaning it has 1st choice of game slots provided by
the opposition in the same way that venue is determined in provincial play. The only exception to this is where two teams have already
played a playoff series against one another, and in this case, the team who won this playoff series will have venue.
Any team not wishing to participate in any playoff for whatever reason must notify in writing, with permission from their association’s President, their respective league governor. This request must be made prior to February 1st.
Where differences in games played exist, regular season final standings will be determined by percentile.
A team that plays 20 games with a 12-6-2 record has a percentile of .650.
B team that plays 19 games with a 12-5-2 record has a percentile of .684.
B team gains the higher position.
This should only affect a few teams in a few divisions as most game inequities were resolved in the last schedule format revisions.
